UGC NET 2018 exam pattern changed, check details here!

The revision examination scheme introduced by Central Board of Secondary examination in the UGC NET 2018 exam has been revealed by the authorities at CBSE official website from National Eligibility test at cbsenet.nic.in on line. The aspiration of UGC NET 2018 exam are iterated to check the important dates of the same and know major changes in the test.

The exam pattern has been changed wherein instead of 3 paper in the UGC NET 2018 pattern, the aspirants now shall have to appear for only two sets namely Paper-1 and Paper 2 in this years’s test. All set to be scheduled on July 8, 2018 candidates can check start filling the UGC NET 2018 on line application form by March 2018 first week of March. The Paper-1 shall comprise of 50 question carrying two marks each to be completed in one hour duration while Paper-2 shall have 100 questions carrying a total of 200 marks to be attempted in 2 hours time duration.

 

Eligibility Criteria

The new eligibility conditions pertaining to upper age limit of the applicant seeking JRF via UGC NET 2018 exam has been revised too. The previously set benchmark at 28 years for the candidates who applied for UGC NET 2018 exam has now been raised by two years by education board details of which are available in short while in  notification. The applicant now are being benefited as the new cut-off for upper age limit for candidates applying National Eligibility Test is now set at 30 years. Therefore, more candidates can now be accommodated and considered for UGC NET 2018 exam this year by virtue  of the changed induced in the system.

Last year CBSE successfully conducted NET on November 5 and about 9.30 lakhs candidates had registered for the same. The exam was conducted in 91 cities at 1700 centres to help differently abled candidates 25 minutes additional time provided during paper 111, to such candidates.  Age Limit is increased, the age limit has been raised by 2 years. Earlier, the upper age limit for appearing for JRF was 28 years, but now, it has been increased to 30 years.
