It is notified that Central Board of Secondary Examination will conduct the next UGC NET 2018, exam. Following are some questions generally asked by the candidates regarding the exam every year.

 

What is the CBSE UGC NET Eligibility Criteria?

a. For General Category Contenders-55% aggregate in Master’s Degree or Equivalent Degree.

b. For ST/SC/OBC contenders-50% aggregate marks in Master’s degree

c. The Ph.D degree holder’s whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19 September 1991, shall be eligible for relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in NET.

d. A final year contender of Master’s Degree or passed out contenders whose result is still awaited is also eligible for UGC NET.

 

What is the NET Eligibility?

NET- Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the next UGC-NET for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Assistant Professor.

Who can appear for NET Exam 2018?

Candidates who have Indian Nationality, NRIs, Overseas citizen of India, Person of Indian origin, and Foreign nationals are able to participate in NET Exam 2018.

 

What is the Minimum and Maximum Age for appearing in the examination?

Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 30 years as on 1st January 2018.

Age Relaxation: 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PWD category contenders. Relaxation will also be given to the candidates having research experience. Contenders possessing LL.M. degree will be eligible for 3 years relaxation in age.

 

What is the total number of attempt for appearing in the Exam?

There is no such restriction on the appearance of examination of CBSE UGC NET 2018.

 

If I am choosing the Kannada Language of NET 2018 question paper, can I get center of examination in Rajasthan?

No, you cannot the candidate will be alloted center as per respective states.

 

Once the UGC NET 2018 Form is submitted can I make alteration?
