CBSE UGC NET July 2018 Official Notification has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education on National Eligibility Test’s official website – cbsenet.nic.in. As per the notification, CBSE stated that the next UGC NET for Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor is scheduled to be organized across the country on 8th July 2018, Sunday. CBSE has released a short notification yet however the detailed notification will be released on 1st February 2018, next week which will entail complete details for the JRF and Assistant Professor aspirants.
The JRF and/or Assistant Professor aspirants will get a huge relief as from NET July 2018 they will be appearing for 2 papers only. Paper 1 will comprise of 50 Objective Type Questions that will carry 100 marks. All questions will be compulsory and candidates will be given 1 hour to attempt the same. The official exam time for Paper 1 is 9:30AM to 10:30AM. Paper 1 will be set to check the teaching/research aptitude of the candidates and will include questions based on reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness.
Earlier the 3 papers used to start at 9:30AM in the morning and conclude at 4:30PM in the evening.
The upper age-limit for Junior Research Fellowship – JRF has been increased by 2 years, from earlier 28 years to 30 years now. The age-relaxation rules for reserved categories for JRF and no upper age-limit for Assistant Professor remain same.
Bringing a major relief to the JRF and Assistant Professor aspirants, the UGC NET will be held twice a year from 2018.
